This Mid-Century Modern residence underwent a full renovation led by Durant Design & Construction, transforming it into a warm, contemporary retreat that celebrates both form and function. As the design and build team, we reimagined every inch of the existing home, introducing thoughtful new layouts, materials, and finishes that bring cohesion to the indoor and outdoor experience.
The renovation included a complete kitchen redesign anchored by architectural wood details, skylit ceilings, and a seamless visual flow between cooking, dining, and entertaining zones. Clean lines, natural finishes, and carefully layered lighting create a space that feels modern yet inviting. In the backyard, we expanded livable space by integrating the spa, dining terrace, and landscape into a private sanctuary that reflects true Southern California living.
A fun additional feature is the basement bedroom that can be accessed by a hidden murphy door, just off the main hallway. (See photos 11 + 12)
